Metro System
Barcelona has an excellent metro system that is clean and punctual. The well-networked system comprises of nine lines, L1 to L8 and L11 that connect 150 operational stations. L9 and L10 are still under construction. The air-conditioned metro system offers a comfortable and convenient way to get around in the city. If you are visiting Barcelona for the World Congress, you may wish to buy a T10 ticket instead of tickets for individual journeys.
Taxis
Taxis are good for traveling at night. They are easy to spot, being a distinct black and yellow colour, and are not very expensive. Taxis are easily available and a green light on the roof indicates that it is not occupied. Taxis run strictly by the meter, although a tip (of about 5-10% of the fare) would be welcome. You may have to pay a small surcharge for luggage.
Buses and Trams
Barcelona’s buses run on three routes and trams on four lines. The Integrated Fare System allows one to use various public transport systems in the same journey. The Barcelona Card offers unlimited travel on all modes of transport.

The venue for the conference and exhibition is Fira de Barcelona – Montjuic, which is located in the heart of the city and is well connected by various modes of transport.
The green line and red line of the Metro System have exits to the Montjuic venue. The station is called "Espanya." The bus lines that connect to the venue are 9, 13, 27, 30, 50, L52, 55, 56, 57, L61, 65, 91, 141, 105, 106. Taxis are easily available and there are two taxi stations at the Fira venue.
